La Tzoumaz – Au fil des saisons
Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, La Tzoumaz is a place of breathtaking landscapes, ever-changing with the rhythm of the seasons. The forthcoming book La Tzoumaz – au fil des saisons is a visual journey through this enchanting region, offering a glimpse into its stunning natural beauty, from the crisp winter snowscapes to the lush greens of summer.
The book is a deeply personal project, born from a lifelong dream of owning a chalet in the mountains. In 2004, we found the perfect wooden chalet, built in 1965. At the time, La Tzoumaz was still officially called Mayens-de-Riddes, but the marketing campaign for the name change was already well underway. Today, in 2025, it has already been 20 years since the official name change took place.
Unlike a traditional travel guide, La Tzoumaz not focus on text-heavy descriptions. Instead, it allows the photographs to speak for themselves, capturing iconic landmarks such as La Pierre Avoi, the Vallon d’Arbi, and the towering peak of Haut de Cry across the Rhône Valley. The magnificent silhouettes of Grand Combin and Mont-Blanc also make an appearance, offering a stunning backdrop to this alpine paradise.
If you follow my Instagram or that of the La Tzoumaz tourist office, or if you have purchased my calendars, postcards, or photos, some of the images may seem familiar to you. But in book form, the photos will certainly bring even more enjoyment..
